Our Logo

The Bunurong people are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the school is sited. Brinbeal (pronounced brin/bill) is a Bunurong word meaning rainbow.

Our logo reflects the diversity of our community and the coming together on the traditional lands. The design reflects the connection of Mount Cottrell lava as it flows next to the Werribee River. The lava is representative of the students that attend Brinbeal Secondary College and the learning and growth students will experience during their school years. As students grow and develop their learning, they are connecting with the wider community (lands), resulting in further learning and growth beyond the school. This is representative of how students at Brinbeal Secondary College, as interdependent contributors to society, will connect with the local and global community to continue their learning journey and make the world a better place for all.

Brinbeal Secondary College’s logo has been designed by Bunurong artist Adam Magennis. Adam is a Bunurong artist, Indigenous activist, archaeologist and Director of Kaptify Art Consultancy. Adam's professional career in the arts spans over 25 years. He has regular commissions for public art installations and has created various murals and sculptural works for public asset projects.
